It's hard to articulate how special Bernie is. He came to Blue Dog Rescue in horrible shape. He was severely emaciated, his body was covered in sores and he couldn't walk. We knew we had to help him and were uncertain about his future. And look at him now! Bernie has come so far. He has been to a specialist and is being treated for a fungal infection in his bones. And, guess what? It's working! Bernie is a new dog and any uncertainty has turned into hope and certain happiness for Bernie. His future looks bright and we believe he is on his way to living a happy and full life with his perfect forever family. Bernie is one of the happiest dogs I've ever met. He smiles in his sleep, he loves to play with our dogs and loves to cuddle with his people. I mean, he lives for cuddles. I truly believe he knows how lucky he is and watching his transformation has been something amazing for this foster family. Bernie is looking for a family that wants to love on him as much as he will love on you. He loves short walks, loves to fetch and did I mention he is the champion snuggle buddy?
