Butterbean found himself in a south Texas shelter when a Blue Dog foster spotted him. It was obvious he needed some TLC. Since being rescued, he has been learning all about the joys of indoor life - soft beds, heat & air conditioning, going for walks, learning to "sit" and Oh Boy, the treats! Butterbean is a little shy when he first meets new people, but he is a real love bug. He likes belly rubs and giving out kisses. He spends his time playing and taking naps. He likes other dogs and is learning to be respectful around cats. Butterbean's number one desire is to spend time with his person; he would do best in a home with adults and/or older kids.
