Sweet Callie has had a hard life. We believe her left, rear leg was caught in a trap for a long time, as all of the circulation was cut off to her foot. As far as we can tell she never received any medical care. When she arrived at her foster home two of her toes had rotted off and her skin and paw were black due to necrosis. The only thing to do was to amputate her leg. Callie's surgery and recovery was a complete success. She also has been treated for heart worms. Callie is now back on her three legs and enjoys short walks and sunning herself on the deck. Her foster family is so proud of her, even though she has been through a lot she is sweet and ready for a loving new home.
