This young girl was found covered in ticks, wandering back and forth on a busy street, looking for fast food scraps. She happily jumped in her rescuer's car and the rest is history. Lucy quickly joined Blue Dog Rescue and went off to her first medical exam. We could tell that she had delivered and fed puppies in the past but the vet discovered that she had pyometra (an infection in her uterus), mastitis and demodex mange. Thank goodness she was rescued and treated before more complications developed. Lucy is a friendly pup who enjoys hanging with her foster family, happily greeting visitors and playing with the family dogs.
