1,460 days, which is 4 years, that is how many days sweet Oakley was homeless, at a rural trailer park. It's hard to believe that no one living there took him in, or helped him find a home. He spent his days begging for food, rummaging through the trash, and trying to find a safe and soft place to rest. Finally someone called animal control and had him picked up. Oakley was in bad shape when he arrived at his foster home. He had a horrible skin infection and his elbows and haunches were dry, flakey and sore from years of laying on the ground. His foster Mom's heart just broke when he laid his head in her lap the first time. She made a promise to him that he would one day be soft to the touch, itch free and sleep every night on the softest bed she had. What a difference a few weeks of love, expert vet care and comfy nights has made. Oakley is now happy, carefree, and medically ready to meet his new family. He does require a home with soft beds and yummy treats!
