A good Samaritan rescued Poppy after seeing her get hit by a car. Her injuries included a fractured pelvis and a damaged back hip. The pelvis healed with crate rest but the damage to the hip was best treated by removing the leg to insure her a healthy, pain-free future. Now the great part of the story: Poppy hasn't missed a beat. Apparently she didn't like that leg anyway and doesn't even miss it! She still delights in chasing squirrels and snapping at flies. She is a sweet tempered big dog, packed in an 11 pound body. Poppy enjoys the company of everyone in her foster home, delights in chasing squirrels and snapping at flies, and loves being part of the crew. She will be ready to accept and review applications after 10/15/21.
